Dear Friends and Family:

Yesterday, our Governor, Michelle Lujan Grisham, announced that New Mexico residents tested positive for the COVID-19.

Today, Governor Grisham announced that our PED will be announcing the temporary closure of our schools tomorrow K-12 for three weeks.

I applaud and support the Governor for taking preventative measures. As a mother, teacher and caregiver we need to protect our children and our elderly. We must do our part.

According to the CDC the Best way to prevent COVID-19 Infection is to:

Avoid exposure to respiratory viruses by:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick; and any travel that is not absolutely necessary.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Stay up to date on vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine if you choose.
  • Vigorously wash your hands often with soap & warm water, for at least 20 seconds.
  • Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol.
  • Help others and yourself:  Do the above before, during & after your visits here!

Think you might be infected with COVID-19?  The CDC says STAY HOME and implement a self-quarantine immediately.  You’re also welcome to call Urgent Care or ER.  Presently urgent care facilities are preparing for appropriate testing and treatment, but asking that people CALL FIRST for instructions.
